Current Makeup Routine

Moisturizer: I love both of these! The Protini Polypeptide Moisturizer feels like butter on the skin and is extremely hydrating, it's expensive but worth every penny. The Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturing Gel is more affordable and has always been a fan favorite. You honestly can't go wrong with either of these options.

Primer: This primer is super lightweight and blurs out all of your imperfections. What more could you ask for?...

Foundation: My tried & true foundation, Estee Lauder Double Wear. I started wearing this foundation in 8th grade, I'm not kidding you. No matter how many other foundations I try (believe me I've tried a lot) I ALWAYS go back to this one.

Concealer: If you haven't tried Tarte Shape Tape you are missing out. This is my favorite concealer of all time!

Powder: I use the Cover FX Translucent Powder to bake my face. Then I apply the Estee Lauder Powder all over to set my face. I'm naturally very oily so these two steps keep my makeup in place all day long.

Bronzer: This contour duo is amazing. I use the bronzer to carve out my cheeks and then apply the lighter shade under my eyes to brighten everything up.

Highlighter: Champagne Pop has been my go-to for years. It gives you the perfect glow and blends like a dream.

Blush: Applying blush is my favorite step in my makeup routine.  I started using Nars Orgasm when I competed at Miss USA and it's been a staple in my makeup bag ever since.

Eyeshadow: You can do so many different looks with this palette and the shadows blend seamlessly.

Eyeliner: I love this eyeliner because it lasts all day and doesn't smudge. Plus it's super easy to create a cat-eye with the fine tip.

Brow gel: I've tried plenty of brow gels but nothing even comes close to this one, it fills your brows in and keeps them in place all day.

Mascara: I like for my lashes to look long and full...I mean who doesn't?!? These all achieve that look.

Lipstick: First I apply the Milani(Shade-Pretty Natural) then I put the Morphe (Shade-Whipped) on top for the perfect mauve pink color. Both of these are super hydrating and affordable. WIN WIN!

Simple Ways To Beat Those Winter Blues

As the holiday season winds down and the Christmas/New Years festivities come to an end, it's very easy to catch the winter blues. I don't know if it's the super cold weather or the fact that it gets dark at 5 o'clock that get's people a little down in the dumps but the winter blues are definitely a real thing. Now we can't control the weather but we can control what we do in a day to overcome the winter scaries. First up on the list...

Workout More
I know you've heard this one a thousand times but it really does work. The more you workout the better you feel, simple as that. I, myself struggle with getting to the gym but I have made an effort to go more frequently and I can 100% tell a difference in my overall mood. As the famous Legally Blonde quote goes, "Exercise gives you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy. Happy people don't shoot their husbands." Or in this case, happy people don't get the winter blues.

Try New Things
It's so easy to get stuck in a rut doing the same old thing day after day. But set a goal for yourself to try 1 new thing a week. You could try a new restaurant, workout class or even a new makeup routine. It's always good to switch things up and keep life interesting!

Make Time For God
I know we are all busy doing this crazy little thing called life but make time for God each and EVERY day. I've started reading my devotional every morning when I get to work and it's been the best thing to get my day started on a positive note. Also, I've been loving listening to Southland Christian Church Podcast throughout the day. It's the little things that can really turn your whole day around.

Reward Yourself With A New Staple Wardrobe Piece
A little retail therapy never hurt anybody. Whether it's a new coat, new shoes or a purse that you've had your eye on for awhile now, everyone deserves a little pick me up. Which brings me to my outfit below ----> The teddy coat I'm wearing is one of my favorite winter purchases to date. Trust me, you can't go wrong with a good teddy coat. They're super easy to throw on over any outfit and can really take your whole look to the next level. I'll link some of my favorites below, including this super comfy one from Nordstrom. Take a look and let me know if you're on board with the huge teddy coat trend. Most importantly, I hope these little tips help you beat those winter blues!!
