OK Ladies get excited because Sephora is having a 20% off sale! As most of you know Sephora rarely has sales so when they do I go all out and stock up on all my favorite products. The sale kicks off today and in order to access it you need to be a Beauty Insider. It's super easy to sign up and you get points on every purchase you make, it's a WIN WIN! Once you've signed up just use code VIBBONUS at checkout to receive 20% Off.

Now that you know how to shop the sale, I'm going to break it down for you and let you in on all my Sephora Favorites!!

 Base:

Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer:
This primer is my holy grail!! When it comes to applying makeup, I think the base is the most important step. This primer smooths the skin while reducing the look of pores, redness and wrinkles.

Face:

Dior Forever Perfect Skin Foundation: I honestly cannot rave about this product enough. This foundation gives you a flawless complexion with a luminous matte finish. PURE PERFECTION!

Lancome Ultra Long Wear Foundation: This is the foundation that I'm currently wearing everyday. It gives you a natural, velvety-matte finish that last up to 24 hours. Your makeup will literally look great all day.

Cover FX Perfect Setting PowderI'm obsessed with this powder! If you're skin is on the oiler side like mine, then this setting powder is a MUST. It truly makes the skin look airbrushed. (Added bonus: it's vegan and talc free so it won't break you out.)

Cover Fx Pressed Mineral Foundation: If you're a girl on-the-go and prefer to just use a pressed powder then I highly recommend this one. It provides build-able coverage but doesn't look dry or cakey. I love to apply it throughout the day if my T-zone starts to get oily.

Bronzer:

Hourglass Ambient Lighting BronzerThis bronzer gives the most perfect sunkissed glow and blends flawlessly into the skin. It is a little pricey but definitely worth every penny.

Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer: I actually use this bronzer as a contour and it brings so much warmth and dimension to my face. It will gives the illusion of a more lifted cheekbone and I mean who doesn't want that?!??

Blush:

Nars Blush in Orgasm: This is my go to everyday blush. I love it so much! It blends like a dream and provides the perfect pop of color to complete a look.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush: If you couldn't already tell Hourglass is one of my favorite makeup brands. Their products are such great quality and never disappoint. So when it comes to blush this Hourglass one is a staple in my makeup selection.

Highlight:

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop: Jaclyn Hill absolutely killed it with this highlighter! No matter how many different highlighters I try I always come back to this one, IT'S JUST THAT GOOD!

Eyes:

Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Palette:This eye shadow palette is one of my all time favorites. It has every shade you will every need, including shimmers, mattes and metallic's.

Huda Beauty Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette: If you're into warm tones then this eyeshadow palette is for you. All of the colors are so pigmented and super easy to blend. It's everything you're looking for in an eyeshadow palette.

Lancome Monsieur Big Mascara: An eye look is not complete without mascara. PERIOD. I don't know about you but for me I want a mascara that makes my lashes look long and voluminous. Wellll this one actually does exactly that. Give it a try and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Benefit Gimme Brow Gel: This brow gel is so easy to apply. It fills in my brows perfectly and keeps the hairs in place all day. 100% the best brow gel out there!

Lips:

Kat Von D Creme LipstickI LOVE this lipstick. It's so creamy and longwearing. It's stays on my lips for hours.

NARS Velvet Matte Lipstick Pencil: This lipstick pencil is one of my all time favorites. It goes on like butter and I'm obsessed with the pink mauve shade. I've been wearing this lipstick for years.

Andddd finally my favorite thing of all SKINCARE. I like to consider myself a skincare junkie, if you've heard of it, good chance I've tried it. So with that being said these next few products are must-haves that you're gonna want to grab during this sale.

Kate Somerville EradiKate Cleanser Acne Treatment: I can't even tell you how many times I've repurchased this product. I honestly cannot live without it. It has helped tremendously with clearing up my skin.

Sunday Riley Good Genes Lactic Acid Treatment: This stuff is like liquid gold. I can tell a huge difference in my skin when I use it. Once applied it immediately exfoliates dull, pore clogging dead skin cells, revealing smoother, fresher, younger-looking skin. UMMM SOLD.

Sunday Riley Saturn Sulfur Acne Treatment Mask: This mask is super fast acting. It clears my breakouts up overnight, no joke. You can even use it as an everyday spot treatment.

Kate Somerville EradiKate Acne Treatment: Speaking of spot treatments, this is the one that I use every time I get a breakout. I apply it at night with a Q-tip and within a day the zit is almost gone. If you suffer with large breakout definitely give this stuff a try.

So there you have it, my picks for the Sephora Sale. Try them out and please let me know what you think! :)

Affordable Fall Mini Skirts

Happy Thursday y'all! I think Fall has finally decided to arrive and no one is more excited about that than me. Let me start off by saying October is my very favorite month!! It might have a little something to due with the fact that it is my birthday month. However, October also means it's time for cozy sweaters, pumpkin patches, boots, football games and pumpkin spice EVERYTHING!

One major trend that you must include in your Fall wardrobe are MINI SKIRTS. Yes that is correct mini skirts have made a huge comeback. Whether it's corduroy, denim, or leather it's a necessity to have one(or ten) in your closet.

In the picture below I've chosen to pair my corduroy mini skirt with some booties and a plaid top but you could also style it with some over the knee boots and a cozy sweater. You really can't go wrong however you choose to wear it.

I've linked some really great affordable options below. Click through and find the perfect staple piece for your wardrobe.

Tips for Future Brides

Happy Monday Guys! Sorry I've been MIA lately, life has been a little crazy to say the least. Forrest and I finally moved back to Lexington about 2 months ago, I started a new job and he's getting ready to start his rotations. Wow when did we become grown ups?!?!!

As some of you might know Forrest and I celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary a month ago so I've been reminiscing on our big day a lot lately which led me to writing this blog post. I wanted to help all you future brides out there and give you some tips and tricks to make sure your wedding day is everything you ever dreamed of. Let me start off by saying hindsight is 20/20 and I'm only able to give you this advice because I've already been there and done that.  OK so here we gooo.....

Tip #1
If your budget will allow it hire a wedding coordinator. Trust me it will 100% be worth it. They do all the behind the scenes work that you can't keep up with on your wedding day, like making sure the vendors are ready to go and every little detail is going as planned. They truly are life savers for brides!! Plus a wedding coordinator can make sure all the rest of these tips go off without a hitch.

Tip #2
Pack a "wedding day essential" bag. If you already have your bag packed and ready to go with you on your wedding day adventures your life will be so much easier. In the bottom of the bag put your lingerie that you plan on wearing your wedding night followed by your honeymoon travel outfit. You should also include hairspray, bobby pins, perfume, lip gloss and any touch up makeup you might need.

Tip #3
Make sure you wear waterproof mascara. It's inevitable that you will shed a tear or two some point throughout the day and ain't nobody got time for mascara to be running down their face.

Tip #4
Makeup setting spray is a must on your wedding day. For all you summer brides, its going to be HOT and you ARE going to sweat. But if you have on a setting spray your makeup will stay in place all day no matter what.

Tip #5
Don't forget to wear deodorant and I don't mean just any old deodorant, get the heavy duty clinical strength stuff. You will be hugging tons of people and smelling clean & fresh is a necessity.

Tip #6
Drink plenty of water. It's going to be a long day and you need to stay hydrated especially if you plan on drinking champagne and mimosa's while getting ready.

Tip #7
Bring along a Polaroid Camera and put your bridesmaids in charge of taking cute photos. These photos will be perfect in a scrapbook and I don't know about you but Polaroid pictures just make me happy!

Tip #8
Ask your caterers to make you and your future hubby a to-go box. Most likely you won't even take the time to eat at your receptions because you'll be talking to so many people, taking pictures, and dancing the night away. When the reception is over and you get back to your hotel room the hunger will set in and that to-go box will be a godsend, believe me!

Tip #9
Send your photographer a list of all the photos you want a few weeks before your wedding day. Take it from me, you won't be able to remember everything on your big day so giving this list to the photographer ahead of time will alleviate a lot of stress and anxiety. Make sure you include candid photos of you with your bridesmaids, parents, siblings, flower girls, etc on that list. These photos will be so special and mean so much when you look back on your wedding day.

Tip #10
Lastly and most importantly take time to enjoy the moment! All you future brides have probably been told this a thousand times but I can't stress it enough. You won't believe how fast the day flies by so SOAK UP EVERY MINUTE! Take in all the marvelous things that are happening because you decided to marry the love of your life!

10 things I've learned in 10 Months of Marriage

Today makes exactly 10 months that I and Forrest have been married. Time has FLOWN by!! It feels like just yesterday that I was frantically trying to get everything ready for our wedding and BOOM here we are 10 months in. Truthfully, 10 months is only a small fraction of time in the almost 7 years that we have been together. But I've learned that marriage is very different from dating. When you take someones last name you take on a whole lot of other things with it. Some of those things aren't so easy but the good things weigh out the bad 10 to 1. I'm no professional, however, I have learned some things along the way and I thought I would share them with you.

1. Never Stop Dating. I know this must sound weird considering the whole already married part. But marriage shouldn't be boring you should always keep things interesting and that's why dates are so important. Make time for you and your significant other away from the kids or in my case dog and cat. P.S I think our dog, Ollie, is worse than a child because he hates when me and Forrest kiss and is determined to get right between us when we do hahaha.

2. Admit When You're Wrong. You can't be right all the time, no matter how bad you want to be. Sometimes you have to put your pride aside for the sake of your marriage and admit that you're wrong. It might hurt at the time but you'll thank your future self for doing it. It's perfectly fine to be Mrs. Usually Right and Mr. Sometimes Right!!

3. Never Go To Bed Angry. Relationships are tough especially when you spend every day together. Arguments are bound to happen but the important thing is that you work them out. Talk through your problems before you lay your head down on that pillow because tomorrow is a new day and you can't spend your time worrying about yesterday.

4. Say "I LOVE YOU" Everyday. Or multiple times a day. This is something Forrest and I have always been good at. We make a point to tell each other "I love you" every night before we go to sleep. People need to know how you feel about them and saying those 3 little words can really make a difference in someones day.

5. Depend On Each Other. In this crazy big world it's nice to know that someone has your back no matter what. Life is tough very tough! One of the hardest things I've ever been through happened while I and Forrest were engaged, my mom was diagnosed with a extremely rare form of breast cancer. It was suppose to be one of happiest times of my life but it was also the hardest. Forrest is one of the main reasons I got through it. I knew I could depend on him, I knew I could talk with him, I knew he would have my back no matter what. Isn't that what marriage is all about?.. knowing that you have someone to depend on.

6. Laugh A LOT. I'm so thankful that this is something that has always came easy between Forrest and me. His humor is one of the many reasons that made me fall in love with him. I know you've heard it before but laughter really is the best medicine. When you love and laugh abundantly you live a beautiful life!

7. Kiss Passionately Everyday. Keep the romance alive. Studies have shown that couples that kiss more frequently have lower levels of stress and higher levels of relationship satisfaction. So take it from me and science, kissing is very important!!

8. Compliment Each Other. It's crucial that your significant other knows you are proud of them. So build them up! Everyone needs a little compliment booster every now and then.

9. Live Life To The Fullest. Life is short so live every moment that you can to the fullest. Go on adventures. Travel the world. Eat the brownie. In my experience there is nothing better than doing new things with the one you love.

10. Make Sure God Is Apart Of Your Marriage. Have you ever heard the saying, "Put God first and everything else will fall into place."? Man is that saying true! When Forrest and I got married we did a hand tying ceremony with three cords because one of my favorite bible verses is "A triple braided cord is not easily broken." -Ecclesiastes 4:12 We want God to be our number one priority in our marriage and we made that promise to each other on our wedding day.

Here's to the things I've learned and the many new things I will learn. Happy 10 Months Babe!!

Plan the Perfect Valentines Day

Valentines Day is right around the corner! I don't know about you but I want to get a head start on the perfect outfit and date night plans. Being prepared is never a bad thing plus it gives you something to look forward to with your special someone. For my Valentines Date Night outfit I've chosen a chic sophisticated red blouse and classic black trousers from Ann Taylor. As far as date night plans go, you'll have to wait and see what Forrest and I decide on.

With so many fun things to do with your significant other or girlfriends, get creative this Valentines Day. Here are a few ideas that I think you and your Valentine will enjoy!!

1. The Classic Date Night
In my opinion few things are better than Dinner and a Movie with your special someone. But switch things up and try a new restaurant or watch an old black and white movie, for instance CASABLANCA is an all time favorite. It will make the night more memorable!

2. The Perfect Ladies Night
Go to a Paint n Sip class with your BFF. Drink a nice glass of wine and just relax. Life is all about trying new activities and I promise this is one you'll love. Or you and your girlfriends could have a night with Mr. Grey and go watch Fifty Shades Freed. I'm betting you'll love that as well.

3. A Romantic Night at Home
A night in might not sound that romantic but it's all about what you make of it. Some of my favorite dinners have been at home when Forrest made a delicious meal and dessert. If you do decide to take this route make a rule to put your cell phones away for a few hours and just focus on each other.
P.S.  My favorite, chocolate covered strawberries, make for a very romantic and tasty dessert!!

4. Treat Yourself
As the old saying goes "you have to love yourself." So treat yourself to a nice spa day. Nothings beats a relaxing massage or facial. Make yourself feel fabulous with a fresh manicure and pedicure. If your mans feeling generous let him pamper you with a spa day and then take you out for a date night. WIN WIN!!

I hope these ideas have given you some Valentines Day Inspiration<3

Dramatic Sleeves of My Dreams

Dramatic Sleeves are so popular in the fashion industry these days and I have to say it's one of my favorite trends at the moment! Speaking of favorites, Valentines Day is one of my favorite holidays. Who doesn't appreciate a special day where you get to celebrate love alongside the person you care about most? With the holiday quickly approaching I know most of you are trying to find the perfect outfit. Whether your going out with your friends or your significant other, this top is sure to make a statement and turn a few heads along the way.

Not only is this top perfect for going out it's also very versatile. You could dress it up with black slacks for a more professional look or even pair it with a mini-skirt and over the knee boots for a flirty look. However you choose to wear it, make it yours and wear it with confidence!
